On 9-11 October 2023, Armine Shiroyan, Project Coordinator of WFD NGO, participated in the subregional gender workshop “Integrating Gender and Climate Change Actions in ADB Operations in Central and West Asia”, organized by Asian Development Bank (ADB). The workshop was held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
The goal of the workshop was to
- enhance the participants’ knowledge on the link between gender and climate change in the context of development initiatives globally and in the region;
- increase their understanding of ADB’s priorities and achievements as a climate bank alongside the Strategy 2030 and Sustainable Development Goal 5;
- share gender responsive approaches in addressing climate change using good practice examples from the region.
