On October 19th, in partnership with the Armenian Caritas and in frames of its “Consolidation of a transnational network of NGOs specializing in labor migration between Russia, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan” project, a training on migration related issues was organized for WFD NGO beneficiary youth.
The goals of the training were:
- to assist potential labor migrants and their families through raising awareness on protection of their rights,
- to familiarize training participants with the migration policies of the Eurasian Economic Union,
- to provide consultation and support protection of migrants’ rights on local, national and international levels.
The training was conducted by Armenian Caritas project expert Tatevik Bejanyan, who provided details on the rights of Armenia citizens leaving for Russia with labor migration purposes, including the mandatory documents and protocols they need to go through to avoid illegalities and problems, as well as answered several questions raised by training participants.
We are grateful to Armenian Caritas benevolent NGO for this useful educational opportunity.
