We are happy to announce the launch of the “Empowering local actors for sustainable social changes in rural communities of Northern Armenia” three-year project! It is the logical continuation of the previous projects, implemented by “Women for Development” NGO, which were aimed at the development of rural communities of Shirak province and improvement of the socio-economic status of rural residents.In frames of the newly launched project, it is planned to expand the geography of the organization’s operations through including new rural communities from Shirak province. With the goal of selecting new communities, WFD NGO leadership already met with the administrative heads of Ashotsk unified community’s Vardablur, Krasar, Zuygaghbyur, Karmravan, Tavshut, Pokr Sepasar and Saragyugh villages, implemented initial community mapping and became familiar with local resources.
Community meetings are still taking place, and new beneficiary villages will be selected strictly in accordance with the specific criteria identified by WFD NGO.
