On September 25, 2010 a seminar on the topic of Gender, Gender Equality, Creation of Equal Rights and Equal Opportunities was organized in Kushchi village of Georgia’s Tsalka region, inhabited by Armenians. With the invitation of Ala Bejentseva, the President of “Women of Multinational Georgia”, the seminar was conducted by Susanna Ghazaryan, WFD Education Department Officer and OMNIBUS 1325 Peace Network member.
Armenian women actively participated in the seminar. For them not only the language of the training was close-to-heart, but also their own discoveries of gender roles. The meeting was very warm and open. During the farewell, seminar participants expressed their hope to meet more often and to participate in talks on various topics.
