“Sarapat” LAG initiated and organized an event dedicated to celebration of the Holiday of Tyarnyndarach (Candlemas Day) in Salut village. The event was attended by the members of Torosgyugh, Musayelyan and Salut youth active groups, as well as residents of Salut community.
The event was comprised of two parts. In the first part, various games and exercises were organized, with a focus on developing attention, communication and self-discovery skills. The games were organized in group format, which made it possible to get to know each other better and gain new contacts and friendships.
The second part of the event was dedicated to the main celebration of the Holiday, and youth active group members presented Armenian Holidays, including Barekendan and Tyarnndarach, after which they closed the event with singing and dancing around the small bonfire.
We very much value such celebrations, as they help us bring our communities closer, teach and learn.
