General community meetings were organized in Tufashen, Vardakar and Nahapetavan villages of Artik unified community. Village mayors, community active residents, youth and schoolchildren participated in the meeting.
During the meeting, WFD NGO president Gohar Markosyan and community development projects coordinator Armine Shiroyan presented the goals, intended activities and expected results of the “Empowering local actors for sustainable social changes in rural communities of Northern Armenia” three-year project. The meetings were well-attended, and the willingness to bring positive changes to communities through collaboration with WFD NGO was impressive.
Anushavan youth active group coordinator Mane Vardanyan also attended the meetings. Mane is involved in the ongoing project as the local coordinator for Artik unified community. She presented projects implemented in Anushavan, spoke about volunteering, successful experience and achieved results.
Community mayors expressed their gratitude for being included in WFD NGO’s list of beneficiaries and expressed their support to the project.
