Trainings on the topic of “The past, the present and the future of community” were organized in Ashotsk consolidated community’s Krasar, Karmravan and Saragyugh new project beneficiary villages. The goal of the training was to involve local population in the processes of identifying community issues using their understanding of current situation, information from the past and vision of the future.
The meetings were attended by village mayors, schoolteachers, forum theater group members and community residents. Through group work, participants presented their community’s past, rich history and beautiful traditions which were uniting previously densely populated communities and make them feel like family.
Next group of the participants presented the current situation in the village, with both strengths and weaknesses, existing challenges, and the hindering factors for community development.
Group work focusing on the community’s future mostly involved rather young participants, who presented their vision of dream community, the roadmap on how to get there, while still valuing and keeping beautiful traditions from the past.
