“Granny´’s House” bed and breakfast in Megrashat is now officially welcoming fans of eco-tourism! Surrounded by picturesque countryside nature, it offers a wonderful place to escape from the city’s hustle and bustle and instead to enjoy fresh air and taste delicious ecologically clean food. The first guests of facility were from our team together with members of youth active groups from Meghrashat and Anushavan communities. The honor of cutting off the tape was assigned to WFD´s president Gohar Markosyan, who also shared the vision behind the process of opening the guest house, its renovation, the stages of its repair and the services currently offered. Partial renovation and fencing of the guesthouse was carried out in framework of our joint project of with European Foundation for Southeast Europe (EFSE). Later on, our employees Arpine Nikolyan and Anahit Hakobyan conducted a training on “Rural tourism” for young people who are also interested in creating similar guest houses in their communities. By means of practical work, participants have highlighted the peculiarities of their communities, sights, interesting habits and traditions, typical cuisine of each community, and touristic destinations. At the end of the meeting the visitors left their impressions, wishes and warm words in the guest book.
