Working meetings in Georgia

Starting May, 2015 “Women for Development” NGO has been collaborating with IDP Women Association “Consent”, “Sukhumi” Fund and “Women of Multinational Georgia” organization with the purpose of exchanging experience available in Conflict Management Education project implemented at Armenian schools. Follow-up working meetings were held with the representatives of the aforementioned organizations and the teachers of several schools on November 30 in Tbilisi and on December 1 in Kutaisi. It was also mentioned that the “Conflict management education at schools” handbook developed by WFD NGO was already translated into Georgian.

Participants of the meeting stressed the importance of organizing similar education model at Georgian schools as well. Possible variants of conducting pilot trainings in several schools located in different parts of Georgia were discussed. Heads of “Sukhumi” Fund and “Women of Multinational Georgia” organization said they had applied to the Ministry of Education of Georgia to get permission for conducting the trainings at schools.
