June 1 was celebrated in a special way also in the beautiful and colourful area of Gyumri Commercial Centre.
”Women for Development” non-governmental organization and “Gyumri Commercial Centre” CJSC did everything to make kids’ day unforgettable. Games and funny performances with the beloved cartoon heroes and the clone made children happy and enthusiastic. Lanjik and Tsoghamarg community dance groups also came to congratulate kids on their special day and finalized the festive mood of the audience with their beautiful performances.
By the initiative of the organizers peace was selected the theme of the event, for today more than ever our children need it. Since the festive event was in its full swing on one part of the dance floor, on the other part of it children learnt to make paper cranes that stand for international symbol of peace.
The event closed up with a unique flash mob. Children decorated one of the trees standing in the area with the colourful paper cranes made by their own hands and called it “Peace tree”. This way children and the rest raised their voice in favour of peace for the children all over the world.
