We are kicking off the new working year by carrying on all the ongoing projects and planning new ones.
Our first meeting was held at Artik unified community’s Nor Kyank village, which is one of the new beneficiary communities on WFD NGO’s list. Administrative staff, community active members, youth and schoolchildren participated in the informational meeting this time. WFD NGO President Gohar Markosyan and community projects coordinator Armine Shiroyan presented the organization’s implemented projects, the goal of the current project, its objectives, and deliverables.
The meeting was well attended and conducted in a very warm and hospitable atmosphere. Community members expressed their interest and willingness in participating in the planned projects and events, and towards the end of the meeting mapping of community human and material resources was implemented.
Community administrative leader Gevorg Petrosyan and Artik community council member Emil Gevorgyan also attended the meeting and expressed their happiness for being included in WFD NGO’s target communities’ list. They committed to joint work and experience exchange, which will lead to new ideas and new projects, creation of youth and community active group, which, in turn, will commit to community development, self-education and application of the new knowledge for the benefit of their village.
P.S. This was our 3rd meeting in Nor Kyank community. Previous 2 meetings were conducted with the community administrative head and school staff.
